Friday, Sep. 5: 3rd Annual Rock the Spectrum

The 3rd annual Rock the Spectrum event will be held on Friday September 5, 2014 at Branson Landing. All monies raised will go to directly help families affected by autism in Branson, Missouri and surrounding areas. This event is founded by Brent & Cristal Hedrick in honor of their goddaughter Shaylee O’Day. We are excited to announce that The Haygoods will be returning with their light show "Electric Dream," and the amazing DJ Kolmega has signed on again as well. We will again have an awesome lineup of entertainment which will all be joining together in support of helping children with autism, a disorder that currently affects 1 in 50 children. A child is diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum every 15 minutes. On May 20, 2013, the CDC announced a 72 percent increase in the diagnosis of autism over the past four years. This already staggering rate is rapidly growing. Many insurance providers will not cover expenses of children on the spectrum. The Hedricks share the same goal with Shaylee’s parents Chuck & Michelle O’Day, and that is to let our local families who deal with autism on a daily basis that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and hopefully give them a sigh of relief. It is also very important to the Hedricks & O’Days to spread the awareness that autism is recoverable. This will be the 6th year the two families have done an autism event for the Branson area. Cristal and Michelle founded A Day for Shay & Pals in 2009. Brent and Chuck are working on creating a summer program for our local families as well. So, come out for an amazing time while doing something amazing for your community!

Friday, Sep. 26: Journey Ressurection - Live In Concert At Branson Landing

It would be fair to say any Journey tribute band is only as good as its lead vocalist. Fill a big stage with top notch musicians, add state-of-the-art lighting and audio, and have the band perform a flawless introduction to a classic Journey hit, such as 'Separate Ways'. That's a good start to the evening; however, all the while, Journey fans in the audience will be anxiously awaiting the answer to the only question in their minds: "Can that guy center-stage sing like Steve Perry?” For the many devoted fans who travel for hours and hundreds of miles across state lines to hear Ryan Christopher deliver the goods any time he performs, the answer is a resounding, "Yes!” Ryan spent the past several years fronting the Journey tribute band, 'Chain Reaction – A Tribute to Journey'. On the strength of Ryan's vocals, the band developed a devoted following in the South Eastern part of the United States. The band's outdoor performance at Branson Landing in Branson, Missouri annually entertained tens of thousands of thrilled Journey fans. Now, partnering with keyboardist and avid Journey fan, Vic White, Ryan sets his sights higher with 'JOURNEY RESURRECTION'. The band is tight, including musicians who have worked directly with Journey. The stage production, including an actual Journey tour drum kit, re-creates the look of Journey shows from the glory days of arena rock. However, all of this would be pure folly were it not for the spectacle of Ryan Christopher's jaw-dropping delivery of the classic Journey songs we all know and love. Come witness the spectacle that is 'Journey Resurrection' and experience the closest thing there is to going back in time to an actual Journey concert from the 'Steve Perry' era! Concert begins at 8pm – And don’t forget to visit us again on September 27th from 10AM-8PM for the second & last day of the 4th Annual Artisan’s Market!
